The Gawler accounting firm, Clayton Rudall has joined BDO in South Australia, effective from 1 July 2011. Stephen Arthur and Tim Pullman, formerly of Clayton Rudall become partners in the eleven partner audit, tax and advisory firm, BDO.

Stephen Arthur says “In professional services, it is always a difficult balance between close business relationships and being able to deliver a wide range of advice efficiently and effectively. I am happy that as one of the world’s largest professional networks, BDO has the expertise and capacity to serve the former clients of Clayton Rudall and indeed the region. BDO is also South Australian owned and has a genuine commitment to engagement with the local community and their clients.”

BDO Managing Partner, Greg Wiese says “The merger with Clayton Rudall is an exciting development for BDO, boosting the organic growth we have enjoyed over recent years, while extending our agribusiness, wine, property & construction, not-for-profit and aged care client portfolios. We are also proud of our two new partners who are well regarded professionally and in their community.”

BDO’s commitment to South Australia extends back to its establishment in Adelaide in 1932. In the course of serving a wide portfolio of business and private clients, it has developed specialist technical expertise and experience in specific business sectors not necessarily possible within smaller firms. BDO have recently expanded their Adelaide CBD office, moving to BDO Centre and currently support southern clients from an office in the main street of McLaren Vale. The recent merger enables BDO to better serve the important and expanding commercial activity north of Adelaide from their Gawler office.
