Wanaka, May 10th, 2011: Rookie Academy’s new ski and snowboard instructor course options at Treble Cone, New Zealand offer a new opportunity to join the snow sports industry the right way and gain an industry qualification in as little as three weeks. And do it for a price that suits you.

“We’re offering the same great training that we have for 19 years,” says Rookie Director, Garett Shore. “But we’re offering people the opportunity to build their own Wanaka experience around our training.”

Aspiring snowboard and ski instructors can now choose how much they spend on gaining the instructing qualification that will make their instructing dream a reality.

Traditional three and four star all-inclusive course options are still available. But cost conscious people now have the choice of opting for three, seven and nine week training only options from as little as $1,800. And people who have arranged time in Wanaka over the winter can now consider adding world-class ski and snowboard instructor training to their Wanaka experience.

“We want to give people the flexibility to enjoy all the benefits of our training whether they want us to arrange other aspects of their time in Wanaka or not,” says Shore.

“These course options offer the same dedicated attention from our trainers for five hours a day, four days a week.” Three week course options include Level 1 NZSIA exams while seven and nine week options offer Level 1 and Level 2 exams.

Rookie Academy is happy to add everything from passes, accommodation and mountain transport to heli skiing days to individual training packages. In budget-conscious times, though, they acknowledge that people may want to make their own arrangements when it comes to other elements of their Wanaka stay.

With a nineteen year history and hundreds of graduates working in resorts around the world the Rookie Academy is well known in the snow sports industry. Owners, Shore and Dean Hunter, regularly field enquiries from ski and ride school directors looking for instructors.

There are other ways to become a professional ski or snowboard instructor but the Rookie Academy offers a unique dedication to helping its students launch successful snow sports industry careers.

Garett and Dean are pleased to offer more people the opportunity to benefit from this dedication with these new course options. Get in touch with them via to discuss turning your snow sports passion into your profession.
