This year 13CABS will again show its support for the Good Friday Appeal with the company pledging to donate one dollar from every taxi booking to go towards treating children with life-threatening illnesses at the Royal Children’s Hospital.

13CABS is encouraging everyone to support this great cause by catching a taxi on Friday 22 April. It is expected this year Melburnians will take some 15,000 trips with 13CABS on Good Friday representing a donation of $15,000.

A highlight of the Good Friday Appeal each year is the Kids Big Day Out held on the concourse at Etihad Stadium featuring fun family activities and live music. The ever popular 1923 Chicago Yellow Cab draws the crowds as kids queue for a photo and a chance to toot the horn.

13CABS will help to raise further funds on the day by running a lucky dip at the event amid their signature sea of yellow balloons before making their cheque presentation at 2pm.

“It’s always great fun for everyone at the Kids Big Day Out, and 13CABS is proud to be a part of the Good Friday Appeal for a 15th consecutive year. We really enjoy being involved to support this fantastic cause,” said 13CABS’ Simon Purssey.

The Good Friday Appeal has been supporting the Royal Children’s Hospital for 80 years withVictorians giving generously in 2010 raising a total of $14,462,000.

A photo opportunity showing the Children of the RCH in the original 1923 Chicago Yellow Cab can be organised upon request.
