Meeting the need for skilled staff to manage project cargos associated with the $200bn of resources projects planned and underway in Australia was the catalyst behind holding the Certificate of Achievement in Project Cargo Management short course at the Novotel Langley Perth from May 18-19, 2011.

The course follows the Lloyd’s List DCN Breakbulk and Project Cargo conference and exhibition in Perth from May 16-17.

The training is delivered by project cargo management specialist Kevin Stephens and professional communication consultant Rodger Hall.

Mr Stephens said the training was held in Perth to assist Australasian project forwarders facing the challenge of quality service delivery in a booming resources sector.

“The massive Gorgon gas project off the north-west coast of Western Australia, along with the growing Papua New Guinea market, and increasing demand for wind power around Australia is ensuring that we need more staff with the skills and knowledge to implement heavy-lift project cargos,” Mr Stephens said.

“This training is specifically designed for the successful execution of heavy and oversized cargo transportation.”

The ISO accredited training has previously been hosted in Mumbai, Singapore, Bremen and Houston. Course registration information, including testimonials and agenda, is available at or email [email protected]
