Titled “Mining the positive side of impact assessment and rehabilitation” the forum is being conducted by Rural Solutions SA in conjunction with the University of Adelaide, at the University of Adelaide’s Wills Building, 9am to 5pm.
The forum will feature presentations from mining sector experts from the University of Adelaide, PIRSA Minerals, Rural Solutions SA, mining companies and regional development.
Positive outcomes for regulations and planning, environmental impact assessments and rehabilitation, the overseas landscape, indigenous community engagement and community capacity assessments will be featured.
Economic impact assessments, engagement and regional benefits will also be covered, with all sessions allowing for audience participation.
