MELBOURNE VICTORIA, 15 March 2011 – SolveIT Software Pty Ltd, a leading provider of enterprise software for supply & demand optimisation and predictive modelling, announced today that it has successfully implemented its Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) system configured for optimising tank farm operations at the Lindemans Karadoc winery in Victoria.

The planning & scheduling activities at the winery were previously managed manually, which limited forward-looking visibility and opportunities for cost- or environment-optimised decision making. The optimisation and advance planning functionality provided by SolveIT Software's APS system is expected to drive substantial business and environmental benefits.

Designed to optimise production planning & scheduling activities, SolveIT Software’s APS system takes into account the constraints and complexities of wine production to provide users with optimal scheduling of tank operations (including equipment and resources) to minimise the number and distance of transfers between tanks, as well as the number of litres being transferred. Elaborate reporting is also provided on a number of levels to suit different stakeholders. The implementation followed a series of scoping studies conducted jointly by staff of SolveIT Software and the winery, involving site visits and an analysis of legacy systems and business processes.
