Honeywell Garrett have just released lab results that show more than a 40% performance gap between their genuine aftermarket turbocharger range and counterfeit or copy turbochargers .

The tests were conducted by an independent company in the UK and the results were damning:

  •  NOx emissions as much as 28% higher in non- original turbos than original fit Garrett by Honeywell turbo replacements.
  • Low end torque in an engine using a copy turbocharger was decreased by up to 40% compared to a genuine Garrett replacement turbocharger.
  • CO2 emissions were nearly 3% greater in some non - genuine turbochargers tested.
