Digital distributor Valleyarm is proud to announce that is has released its first Valleyarm Absolute compilation with Absolute Rock. Featuring twenty rock and alternative artists from around the globe, the compilation is now on sale worldwide through iTunes and features high-profile acts Nidji and Opshop, among others.
Hailing from Indonesia, feature act Nidji is in the studio at the moment recording their fourth studio album. The alternative pop band’s song on Valleyarm Absolute Rock, Shadows, was also featured in the popular American television show Heroes.
New Zealand act Opshop is currently on 19-date tour throughout their homeland with Brooke Fraser and Midnight Youth for a More FM Winery Tour. The quartet were voted New Zealand’s favourite band by the readers of EDC Magazine in 2010, which is hardly surprising considering their debut release You Are Here has been certified platinum, and Second Hand Planet triple platinum.
Other acts on the compilation include Opshop, Here Come the Birds, Chamberland, Jupiter Menace, Star Assassin, Russia, The Whole Molko, Crash Through, Kings Queens & Fairytales, Scaramouche, Breaking Orbit, Fab Manzini, Mirrored, 46 Clicks, Kids of Crisis, All the Cattle, The Indigo Children and Epidemic... Over.
The Absolute Rock compilation is the first of many Absolute compilations that Valleyarm plans to release, with Absolute Blues, Absolute Pop, Absolute Indonesian, Absolute Thai and more scheduled for 2011.
