It’s been quite a ride, as KIA Motors, flexing their power to surprise, announces the successful completion of their innovative online promotion to celebrate the release in Australia of the All New KIA Cerato Hatch.

Each day since the beginning of November, the online hub getmorevalue.com.au offered consumers a series of click-throughs to third party vendor partners offering savings on products and services. Each special Value Item was carefully selected to reflect elements of power, technology and safety found on and in the All New KIA Cerato Hatch.

More than the “value for money” proposition at the heart of this exciting new car, the promotion emphasized KIA’s ongoing commitment to the community. This past Friday, in partnership with eBay, a special 24-hour auction of additional Value Items raised much-needed funds for vital cardiac research ongoing in Sydney.

With European styling, a muscular 2.4L engine, rugged suspension and a lavish array of extras at no additional cost, the All New KIA Cerato Hatchback is all about giving value back to the consumer. It represents the smart choice in stylish, responsible transportation.

The Last Week’s Deals, and the Partners
Last week’s Value Items concluded the promotion in style. On Tuesday, day 27 of the promotion, digiDIRECT offered a 4GB memory card and case free with purchase of any Canon compact camera.

Wednesday’s Value Item came courtesy of Fitness First, which offered a one-week trial pass for two, absolutely free. And the promotion concluded Thursday with a sweet deal: a free box of Chocolatier chocolates with the purchase of any Xmas hamper $95 or over at Hampers Only.

All told, the impressive roster of quality vendors who worked in partnership with KIA to pass savings on to the consumer in the name of the All New KIA Cerato Hatch included The Laptop

Factory, digiDIRECT, Readyrooms.com, Baby Village, Logitech, Dell, Adrenalin, Hampers Only, Barbecues Galore, Fitness First and Ticketek.

The Victor Chang Cardiac Research Center
From the earliest planning stages of the promotion, KIA was adamant that a charity component be part of the fun. Partnering with eBay, a special, one-time only charity auction was held this past Friday, December 10. Consumers who visited getmorevalue.com.au were able to sign up for daily alerts and prepare to bid as additional items were revealed.

Once tallied, all proceeds from the auction will be donated directly to the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute (VCCRI). A biomedical research facility committed to excellence in research into heart disease and cardiovascular biology, cardiovascular research training and the facilitation of rapid application of research discoveries to patient care, the Sydney-based VCCRI is named for the pioneering cardiothoracic surgeon and humanitarian.

Thanks to KIA, eBay and everyone who participated, the vital research they done by the team of scientists at the VCCRI can now move forward with strength and certainty.
