HVG division Octanorm Australia has welcomed a mainstay of Australia’s exhibition and event industry to its ranks, announcing the appointment of Stephen Dorrofield as Business Manager.

In his new role, Mr Dorrofield will be tasked with increasing Octanorm Australia sales, strengthening key supplier and customer relationships in the exhibition, shop fitting and display industries, and looking for new products and markets to grow the brand in Australia.

Mr Dorrofield said he was looking forward to jumping across the fence to being a supplier to the exhibition industry rather than a contractor.

“The challenge of my new role will be to ensure that while our sales and presence continues to grow in the retail and exhibition markets, our operations team continues to supply a quality product in the best possible turnaround time,” he said.

No stranger to Octanorm exhibition and display systems, Mr Dorrofield joins Octanorm Australia from Morgan Expo where he established and served as General Manager of the exhibition contracting division for two-and-a-half years.

In a 19-year career in the exhibition industry both in Australia and his native South Africa, Mr Dorrofield has also worked as the Victorian General Manager and Queensland General Manager of AE Displays.

“Stephen has been a customer of Octanorm Australia since he came to Australia from South Africa in the late 1990s and he brings the right skills, experience, industry knowledge and contacts to slot straight into his new role,” said Bruce Rayment, CEO, Octanorm Australia.

“His brief is to grow Octanorm Australia’s existing sales and to also look for new products and markets for our existing range and I’ve no doubt he will tackle this challenge with the same energy, enthusiasm and success that he brought to his previous roles.”
