A new knowledge hub is highlighting the positive environmental work happening across Australia. EnviroSource focuses on these good news stories (aka #envirowins), along with a solid directory of information that helps dedicated change makers to address environmental challenges.

Developed by experienced environmental professionals, who are also alumni of the Centre for Sustainability Leadership, the online hub provides a collaborative environmental resource that's national, cross-sector and all in one place. Designed to boost the profile and capability of Australia's environmental community, the new hub makes it easier to access the knowledge, opportunities and resources that people need to make a real difference.

EnviroSource Co-founder Neil Taylor said, "It’s time we shared more good news stories, and at the same time provide the information and support needed to deliver more great environmental solutions. For us, a central knowledge hub and showcase was like the missing piece of the puzzle."

Now fully operational, EnviroSource is available to environmental leaders, decision-makers, researchers, innovators, practitioners, educators and all those who make change happen around Australia. It supports those who are working hard to make more efficient use of resources and reduce the pressures on all aspects of the environment.

"Together we're a dynamic environmental community from across government, not-for-profit organisations, community groups, academia, business and industry. We're convinced that the best solutions come from collaboration amongst people with diverse perspectives."

"Online communities like this make it possible to break down some of the traditional barriers to collaboration. Already it's working and the network is growing."

EnviroSource has already achieved early support from a variety of environmental groups, government departments and industry and is establishing partnerships with a range of organisations.

EnviroSource Co-founder Christine Bell explained, "As part of the central knowledge hub, we're also launching a free National Environmental Directory. It's a great place to find and share your environmental events, jobs, awards, grants, tenders and panels. You'll also find lots of other tools to support your work like articles and webinars. And this is just the beginning."

"For us, it's all about the environmental outcomes that can be achieved when we all work together. We get a real buzz every time a new environmental initiative gets off the ground - and even more so when we know we've played our part in helping people find what they need to make it happen."

You can get involved in the National Environmental Directory by registering for free at www.envirosource.com.au/join. During June 2016, EnviroSource is also inviting sponsors to support the further development of the new online hub through an active crowd-funding campaign.
