Hot off featuring in Channel Nine’s current The Secret Millionaire series, Melbourne entrepreneur Karl Redenbach has started new venture Online Services Corporation, specialising 100% in Microsoft cloud computing solutions.

Minister for Information and Communications Technology John Lenders welcomed Online Services Corporation (OSC), at the global launch event at Telstra headquarters yesterday in Melbourne.

“Karl Redenbach is already well-known in the ICT community for his ground-breaking work as CEO of nSynergy Group — and through his appearance on Channel Nine’s The Secret Millionaire series he is becoming a household name,” Mr Lenders said.

OSC CEO Redenbach said: “Expanding our presence across the US and UK over the next few months puts OSC as the first truly global Microsoft partner to specialise 100% in the Online Services space – we are ahead of the pack.

“We are also taking a leading role in helping shape Microsoft’s future cloud strategy through representing the Asia Pacific region on their global partner advisory council.”

Mr Lenders added that OSC will be providing new export opportunities and showcasing Australian ICT excellence to the world.

Microsoft Australia’s Partner Director, George Stavrakakis, commented: “The success OSC is already seeing through offering Microsoft Online Services to its customer base mirrors the great traction we continue to see in the marketplace.

“Cloud productivity services can deliver excellent customer value and choice, and help create business and revenue opportunities for partners and customers alike. We congratulate Karl on the formation of OSC and wish him all the very best in his new venture.”

Telstra Business Head of Cloud Solutions, Marcus Bartram, said OSC is already a significant generator of demand for cloud services through Telstra’s Software as a Service (SaaS) offering, T-Suite.

“We are delighted to continue that partnership in Australia and to see OSC grow into a global company.”

Part of the “BRW Fast 100” nSynergy Group, OSC will be headquartered in Melbourne and will create 60 new ICT jobs over the next three years with increasing demand for cloud-based solutions following the recent announcement of Microsoft’s Office 365.

“We are really happy to have one of the inspiring people I met while filming The Secret Millionaire, Dawson Ko in our HR team and we’re certainly keeping him busy on the recruitment side” said Redenbach.
