In only its first month, the family-travel website Travel With Tots has attracted a huge online following and helped thousands of people learn how to easily travel with their children. Founded in August 2010 by a mother and former travel agent, Travel With Tots has already attracted more than 180,000 web hits and more than 1,500 followers on Facebook.

“The response to the site has been overwhelmingly positive,” said Travel With Tots founder Amy. “It’s been so rewarding to see a community of caring parents come together to discuss travel and learn how they can more easily take trips with their children.”

A self-diagnosed travel addict, Amy didn’t want becoming a mother to end her wanderlust, but she knew that taking along her son, Luka, would require more thoughtful planning. Helpful information was hard to find, so she came up with the idea for Travel With Tots, a complete online resource for information about taking children on the road.

Visitors to Travel With Tots can find information on how to pack for an overseas trip with children, what’s available once you arrive at your destination and advice on how to handle medical conditions like Epilepsy & Autism . There are also detailed sections on specific family travel concerns like breastfeeding while traveling and how to help to a child afraid to fly.

Travel With Tots also lets parents share their traveling adventures and submit reviews based on their experiences with hotels, airlines and travel products.

Amy said her goal is to help parents get out and see the world and hopefully help pass the travel bug on to a younger generation.
