For a number of years Adelaide winery PB1 Fine Wines has been making a name for themselves internationally and has virtually been unknown in Australia but have now received recognition closer to home.

With success recently at the San Francisco International Wine Competition, the largest and most influential international wine competition in the US, where their 2008 Immacula Shiraz won the Silver Medal, medal wins at the New Zealand International Wine Show has proved that now is the time to make a push into the Australian market.

“Our wines have been very popular and well recognised overseas, especially in the US, Canada, the UK, Singapore and China. To be awarded for our wines closer to home at the New Zealand International Wine Show is fantastic for us,” said Steve Thompson, Vigneron and Winemaker.

The New Zealand International Wine Show is firmly established as the largest wine competition held in New Zealand. PB1 wines won the Gold Medal for the 2008 Immacula Shiraz and Bronze Medals for the 2008 One Mile Dam Shiraz and Cabernet Merlot as well as the 2008 Scrub Paddock Cabernet Sauvignon.
