A specialist property workshop paneled by an elite team of 12 female experts in their field is set to empower women to become their own property owners and investors.

Australian swimming legend and prominent businesswoman Lisa Curry-Kenny heads the panel of women who will be passing on their experience and expertise at a special Property Women workshop in Sydney on June 14-15th.

The all female environment empowers women to feel confident asking questions and to make subsequent choices and property investments, putting them in control of their own financial future.

Following encouraging feedback from participants of the previous and highly successful one-day events around Australia, the two-day event will focus on a range of issues important to women in property investment. These include negotiation strategies, taxation information, renovation, development, contract and finance requirements and how to turn negatively geared property into cash-flow positive investments.

The workshop will also feature some of the country's leaders in the field of property investment, put together after 12 months of work by the renowned Property Women group. These include dynamic young self-made property developer Carly Crutchfield and Victorian Property Manager of the Year, Carolyn Wright of Century 21.

Author and highly successful property investor Rachel Barnes, who has developed an impressive 70-property portfolio in just eight years, says the workshops help give women the knowledge and confidence needed to take control of their own financial destiny. She says property is safer and more stable than many alternative investments and is the ideal investment choice for women.

"The feedback from many women who come to the one-day workshops is that they've read books, watched DVDs, but it's not enough - they want more knowledge provided in a female friendly format," Rachel says. "They are genuinely interested in women who have tasted success in the property investment area and want to network with other like-minded women. We are meeting both those demands at this two-day workshop."
