In just three years, Ryan Trainor turned Australia’s cottage training industry into the market’s largest private Registered Training Organisation – Franklyn Scholar. With turnover of more than $18 million and training more than 17,000 people across Australia, his three year plan is to grow Franklyn Scholar’s revenue to $100 million whilst becoming a workplace of choice for his fast growing team, which currently tops 200 people.

Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the year award is the world’s most prestigious business award for entrepreneurs. The unique award makes a difference through the way it encourages entrepreneurial activity amongst those with potential, and recognises the contribution of people who inspire others with their vision, leadership and achievement.
The southern regional winners will be announced at a cocktail reception on September 26th.
