For world-class, Adelaide based software company VersaDev, being selected as one of nine innovative South Australian businesses to fly the flag at this year’s CommunicAsia event held in Singapore is a great honour.

VersaDev is exhibiting their flagship product, versaSRS HelpDesk - a cost effective, efficient, cutting edge customer service management product that requires a minimum investment in infrastructure from its clients across the manufacturing, ICT, agriculture, retail, health and government sectors.

According to VersaDev joint Managing Directors Warren Bullock and David Fennessy, accessing Innovate SA programs and services and attending events such as CommunicAsia serves as a great platform in the promotion of their product range as well as providing networking opportunities.

“While we have resellers around the globe in countries including the United States, South Africa and New Zealand, our focus is now firmly set on growing our market share in the Asia Pacific region.

“Last year’s event actually resulted in us gaining several new clients including fellow CommunicAsia exhibitor, Australian Satellite Communications.

“The advantage with our products, especially for international clients is that they are delivered and sold as a browser download product, with a free trial version available too. This means our overheads and costs are greatly reduced and reduce our clients’ operational costs at the same time,” David explained.

According to Innovate SA Chief Executive Greg Boundy, events such as CommunicAsia along with training and industry contacts form the basis for South Australian businesses succeeding in the international market place.

“Helping South Australian businesses like VersaDev develop their market share internationally is something we are passionate about at Innovate SA.

“Maximising the connection between buyers and sellers in the ICT sector is what our involvement and the South Australian contingency at CommunicAsia is all about.

“South Australian businesses are able to obtain the most up to date information in the ICT sector and then apply those learnings to their businesses upon their return,” Greg explained.

According to David Fennessy, Innovate SA programs and mentoring have played a large part in their eight member staff’s focus on defining their business direction and objectives to explore new international markets during the economic downturn.

“Through the Innovate SA Strategic Marketing program, we learned about the importance of setting goals and developed business and strategic marketing plans, which have proven invaluable to the success of our business growth internationally.

“We have also been able to ‘take stock’ of our business and examine our core functions and processes, such as our renewed focus on customer service and support,” David said.

VersaDev is exhibiting at the 2010 CommunicAsia event in Singapore from June 15-18, 2010 as part of the South Australian Stand where they will demonstrate their versaSRS HelpDesk product offering.
