Centro Bankstown will transform into a winter wonderland during the July school holidays, with an ice rink in Centre Court hosting dazzling performances from well-known ice dancers, and providing local kids with a chance to try out their skating skills.

The popular Stars on Ice show, featuring former Australian men's champions – Sean Carlow and Kristian Ryan – 2002 Winter Olympian, Stephanie Zhang, and several rising stars of the skating world, will entertain and delight families between 5 and 9 July.

The following week, children will have the opportunity to create their own magic out on the ice, when the rink opens to the public for nine days of skating sessions.

Stars on Ice has been enchanting Australian families with its spectacular figure skating performances for more than 10 years.

Centro Bankstown Marketing Manager, John Klein, said the installation of the ice rink was a unique opportunity for people to experience a past time that was not readily available to most Australian families.

“Stars on Ice is an amazing production, and we hope the families who attend will be inspired to get out on the ice and try figure skating for themselves.”

The temporary ice rink will be constructed of Slick Ice, a synthetic alternative to traditional ice, which is environmentally friendly and safe for all ages.

Skates, in a variety of sizes, will be provided.
