Halifax Vogel Group (HVG) today announced the appointment of Iain Whyley as Business Manager for SmartStone, its growing brand of engineered stone surfaces.

Mr Whyley joins SmartStone during an exciting period of growth and will be responsible for managing business activities for the brand and enhancing its profile in the Australian market within the distribution network of HVG.

SmartStone comprises three types of engineered stone – Quartz, Marble and Terrazzo – in matching slab and tile and a unique colour palette with various finishes to ensure quality results for a wide range of interior building applications.

The brand also recently added Second Life – an eco-friendly engineered stone surface made from up to 90 percent recycled content – to its product portfolio.

“I’m looking forward to being involved in a crucial growth phase of the SmartStone business and aim to firmly establish the brand as a preferred choice for residential and commercial building projects,” said Mr Whyley.

No stranger to decorative building products, Mr Whyley has 20 years experience in the plastics industry and was formerly the General Manager for Mulford Plastics and the General Manager - Sales & Marketing for EGR Extrusion.

“We are committed to further increasing SmartStone’s profile and desirability to not only architects, builders and interior designers but the general public as well and the appointment of someone of Iain’s calibre and experience as Business Manager will ensure this commitment is fulfilled,” said Bruce Rayment, Chief Executive Officer, Halifax Vogel Group.
