Book of Hope Lifts Off
Due for release in July 2021, an immersive autobiography by Adelaide O'Loughlin highlights the redemptive power of faith. Rescued from a hell of addiction, toxic relationships and spiralling mental illness in her mid-20s, Adelaide went on to live a love relationship with Jesus in community and service. In Full Flight is her life story from childhood in country towns, through teenage years and a painful young adulthood, to the transformation of her adult life in service to the Lord.
Adelaide contrasts the two halves of her life - before and after Christ - in a personal way that does not hold back from difficult details. With vulnerable honesty, she shares the truth about her drug use and addiction, abusive marriage, abortion, and hospitalisations for mental illness episodes. But Adelaide frames these experiences with an understanding of how they led her to recognise and accept Jesus Christ as her saviour, and goes on to detail how her total surrender to His love changed her lifestyle in a myriad of ways. The second half of In Full Flight is a story of hope and joy as Adelaide shares her experiences as a nurse, on the mission field, and the ongoing challenges in relationships and mental health.
This is Ms O’Loughlin’s first book, and she describes the memoir as a story she has been called to share. An Australian who has travelled extensively, she now lives in Toowoomba, Qld.
In Full Flight will be available through your preferred online retailer, with distribution to local bookstores and libraries through Lightning Source.
