A Perth accountant and business advisor was recently recognised as an industry leader with unparalleled experience amongst the highest echelon of the accounting profession in the world.
On 18th January 2021, Greg Mawer joined the ranks of an exclusive group of only 132 members to be advanced to FCPA (Fellow of CPA Australia) status out of 73,742 CPA members under 40 worldwide (as at 31/12/2019).
In order to become an FCPA, one must have must have a minimum of 15 years’ work experience in accounting, finance or business, as well as at least 5 years in an executive position/providing full-time Public Accounting Services as a public accountant.
Greg, who is only 36 years old and Director of Accumulate Accountants and Business Advisors, a leading Perth Business Advisory Firm, is humbled to have gained the recognition and respect that usually comes with a lifetime of professional expertise in accounting and finance.
Greg has also been a sessional academic for the School of Accounting at Curtin University for over 15 years. He believes that financial empowerment has the ability to change the world, and runs a Financial Literacy Social Enterprise called Mawer Money.
Progressing to FCPA status means that you are recognised as an expert in your field. FCPAs are also recognised and respected around the world as being leaders in their industries.
