Friday, 9 October 2020 – Industrial and commercial cleaning company, Cleaning Edge Solutions, has been named as one of Australia and New Zealand’s Most Innovative Companies; alongside ASX top 100 companies Mirvac, Dexus and Charter Hall.
It is the first time a small business cleaning company has joined the ranks of the top 100 most innovative companies, often dominated by large industry players.
The prestigious annual list, published by The Australian Financial Review and Boss Magazine, is based on a rigorous assessment process managed by Australia’s leading innovation consultancy, Inventium, in conjunction with a panel of industry expert judges. Specifically, the judges look at how valuable the problem is that the innovation is solving, the quality and uniqueness of the solution, and the level of impact that the innovation has had.
Founder and managing director, Clayburn Figredo, said Cleaning Edge Solutions was honoured to place top 10 on the Property, Construction and Transport Companies list, from over 600 nominated organisations across Australia and New Zealand. It is the first time the company was nominated for selection, and the only cleaning company to rank in the 2020 Most Innovative Companies list. See list here.
“This accolade draws attention to the cleaning industry in the business world, to re-think their view of cleaning – as an investment versus an expense,” said Figredo.
“Particularly when innovation translates to saving thousands of dollars on electricity and water bills for our clients or hundreds of hours in compliance related administrative work.”
“Now even more critical during a pandemic, our innovation has been a lifesaver for many of the businesses and homes that we were called upon by government authorities to help reopen safely.”
As Figredo explained, Cleaning Edge Solutions used technology to build robust systems and processes, years before COVID hit. One that focused on the delivery of consistent, highly quality service that was precise and accountable.
“All documents related to on-site members, completed training, completed work, reports, dates and multi-channel communication – my vision was to have complete transparency, making them easily available to all stakeholders, including our onsite team, management team and clients’ team” he said.
“Technology and innovation have allowed us to achieve that. At any time of the day, you can conduct an audit on any site or individual, in real time.”
And with a large multicultural workforce, the company’s communication spans 100 languages, so there’s no barrier to comprehension.
“I am so proud of our entire team. This ranking is a tribute to our collective efforts. It is another feather in our cap, recognising our commitment to outstanding customer service, which is independently assessed by our annual ISO certification for quality, environmental management and occupational health and safety.”
