Sydney - Soprano Design, a global leader in cloud-based enterprise messaging solutions, has announced it has achieved ISO 27001:2013 certification, an international standard outlining best practices for information security management systems.

“At Soprano we are in the business of sending and receiving trusted communication on behalf of our enterprise customers. This certification validates that Soprano Design is investing in the right people, processes and technology to protect customers’ data. It gives future clients confidence that the company takes cyber security seriously”, Soprano Design Founder and Executive Chairman Richard Favero says.

ISO 27001 is a globally recognized standard created by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) to mandate numerous controls for the establishment and maintenance of an information security management system (ISMS). The standard ensures organizations have established methodologies and a framework to business and IT processes to help identify, manage and reduce risks to the security of information.

Soprano Design went through a rigorous audit process, conducted by an independent third-party firm to achieve the certification, with the initial scope covering Soprano Design’s Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) offerings hosted in Australia and the UK. Soprano Design is rolling out its information security management system globally and will be expanding its certification over the next 12 months.

“Soprano is committed to ensuring the right person receives the right information at the right time. We have built our global reputation on enabling intelligent and trusted mobile interactions. We are extremely proud to have achieved ISO 27001:2013 certification. In today’s uncertain world, customers are looking for that extra peace of mind when it comes to their cyber security and data protection. This international certification strengthens our reputation as a global provider of trusted mobile interactions.”

Favero continues, “Our customers can have absolute confidence that we are able to safeguard their data from risk or security threats. The certification represents the control we have over our security processes and how we are reliable with financial information and managing secure data.”
