Sydney - Soprano Design, a global leader in cloud-based enterprise messaging solutions, has announced it has achieved ISO 27001:2013 certification, an international standard outlining best practices for information security management systems.

ISO 27001 is a globally recognized standard created by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) to mandate numerous controls for the establishment and maintenance of an information security management system (ISMS). The standard ensures organizations have established methodologies and a framework to business and IT processes to help identify, manage and reduce risks to the security of information.

Soprano Design went through a rigorous audit process, conducted by an independent third-party firm to achieve the certification, with the initial scope covering Soprano Design’s Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) offerings hosted in Australia and the UK. Soprano Design is rolling out its information security management system globally and will be expanding its certification over the next 12 months.
