The two companies have partnered to enhance how government organisations communicate with residents, using a dedicated mobile app in conjunction with their digital engagement platform.
The new EngagementHQ companion app will offer government agencies and departments an easy way to provide constituents with a list of current and upcoming projects, visually displaying project updates, pictures, videos, and documents on an interactive timeline directly within the app.
Users of the new companion app can find projects of interest, based on either location or date, and can choose to follow those projects via the app, receiving push notifications with the latest updates from local government leaders.
“SitePodium is the ideal companion app for EngagementHQ, their expertise in mobile app development specific to project-level engagement is evident in the app experience,” says Matt Crozier, CEO of Bang the Table, “this new communication channel will help improve outreach and connection for local governments while giving residents the ability to easily control which projects they want to hear about”.
SitePodium’s creators have been providing the platform to communities in Europe since 2013, with over 1,000 successful engagement consultations run using the app’s intuitive engagement features. The app provides a natural bridge for local governments to reach communities through convenient mobile technology.
“We’re excited to partner with the team at Bang the Table to deliver a mobile experience that elicits deeper engagement through timely, targeted communication”. Says Paul Frankenhuizen, CEO of SitePodium, “we’ve seen a lot of successful infrastructure, planning, and development review projects delivered using the SitePodium app across Europe, the integration with the EngagementHQ platform will strengthen communication and improve participation for local government agencies”.
Through this partnership, the SitePodium app will be white-labeled for Bang the Table clients, providing a seamless brand experience between their EngagementHQ site and companion app. Further integration is planned to unlock two-way communication within the app and also enabling participant engagement directly within the app.

SitePodium was developed in the Netherlands in 2013, becoming the world’s first mobile application for community engagement. The idea was born out of the founders’ experiences as local residents alongside construction projects, frustrated by the lack of communication about what developments were happening in their community. Now, SitePodium has evolved beyond serving the construction industry and has become a trusted mobile platform for local governments to reach and engage with constituents.
