Social distancing and the enforced closing of commerce across the world has led to business owners having to find innovative ways to connect and service their customers. Elmar’s announce new operating hours to provide a takeout and delivery service and a revision of outlet opening times to enable customers to stock up on Smallgoods, quality meats and essential grocery items.
The hugely popular restaurant and social gathering venue, Elmar’s in the Valley, has – in line with all other such businesses – had to close its doors to the public during the outbreak of coronavirus. Owners, Elmar and Anette Dieran, have taken the decision to adapt by providing many of the restaurant’s most sought after German dishes via a takeaway and delivery service.
Elmar’s Takeaway and Delivery Service
Working with their in-house team of talented catering and hospitality staff, the couple have launched an online and telephone service for customers to order a range of traditional German dishes and Aussie classics. These include the restaurant’s signature speciality pork shank, family and kids’ feasts, schnitzel, steak sandwich, salad and more. Customers can order and pick up their freshly prepared dishes from Wednesday through to Sunday during the newly revised opening hours. These are:
- Wednesday & Thursday: 11.30am-2.30pm and 5.00-7.30pm
- Friday & Saturday: 11.00am-7.00pm
- Sunday: 11.00am-3.00pm
For those who can’t or don’t wish to travel, free delivery is available for orders over $30 to Ellenbrook, Aveley, Brabham, Henley Brook, West Swan, The Vines and Dayton.
As well as food, Elmar’s micro-brewery beers and local wines are also available to order, along with a range of non-alcoholic drinks. As an additional sweetener, all orders that are collected can choose from a free gift of a can of beer, soft drink or a toilet roll!
The weekends are also a time to celebrate, and each Saturday and Sunday from 11.30am-2.30pm customers can visit Elmar’s in the Valley for their German Carpark Feast. Here it’s possible to purchase the restaurant’s famed Bratwurst with the works, shanks, chips and beer to take away and enjoy. For those who’d prefer to barbie at home there’s a DIY Bratwurst family pack or Pandemic value pack (featuring quality sirloin steak, along with Bratwurst and bier!) on offer.
Smallgoods Outlets Revised Opening Hours
Another hugely popular facet of the Elmar’s brand is that of artisan Smallgoods. These are home-produced, authentic German products, such as smoked sausages, pâtés, salamis and hams. You can also stock up on staples and other yummy items, including Ryan’s Quality Meats (sirloin, rump & scotch steak) rye bread, Belgian chocolates, preserves, milk, flour, toilet roll, butter, eggs, sauerkraut, mustards, spätzle and many more!
Their three outlets remain open with social distancing regulations in place. Each has slightly differing operating hours as follows:
- Elmar’s in the Valley, Henley Brook: Open Wednesday to Saturday 11.00am-7.00pm and Sunday 11.00am-3.00pm. And is now stocking a range of quality cuts of meat and other essential grocery items
- Elmar’s Smallgoods, Highgate: Open Tuesday to Friday 9.00am-3.00pm and Saturday 9.00am-2.00pm
