Tuesday, February 4th, 2020 - Skydive Geronimo

Mixing with the best in Western Australian tourism, Skydive Geronimo took home the gold in the Adventure Tourism category at the 2019 Perth Airport Western Australian Tourism Awards.

Up against some tough competitors in Live Ningaloo and Kalbarri Wagoe Beach Quad Bike Tours, this is the second time that Skydive Geronimo has taken out this category, with the first in 2014 as Southern Skydivers.

Celebrated at the Crown Perth in early November, the awards showcased the innovation and commitment that the leading tourism operators in the state are showing.

2019 attracted a record number of entries from across Western Australia, and in its 47th year, the Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards are the most prestigious awards program in the state’s tourism industry.

Skydive Geronimo is seeing an increase in tourists and locals alike all wanting the chance to jump out of a plane above Rottnest Island. This increase has allowed the team at Skydive Geronimo to introduce a new package and a new partnership.

The Rottnest Island Skydive and Flight Transfer Package has recently been released. This package includes flights to Rottnest Island from Perth, and then skydiving directly onto the island. Passengers will depart Jandakot Airport after preparations and briefings, with an adrenaline-fueled trip to Rottnest Island.

Following their skydive, passengers can spend a day enjoying everything Rottnest has to offer and then return to Fremantle with Rottnest Express or Sealink Rottnest Island.

The company is also teaming up with Rottnest Air Express to offer one-way flights back from Rottnest Island to the mainland, giving thrill-seekers plenty of opportunities and choices on getting to and from Rottnest Island. These flights are due to start soon.

Skydive Geronimo will join the other 24 winners and represent Western Australia at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards in March 2020.
