IRIQ Law has partnered with Blackbook AI to design and launch Riqi following extensive testing over the last 12 months.
Riqi is available on IRIQ Law's website 24/7 to assist employees who are having difficulties at work in regard to unfair dismissal, unlawful terminations, workplace bullying, workplace discrimination, underpayments and general protections. IRIQ Law Managing Legal Practitioner Director Theresa Moltoni says that Riqi will assist law firms to provide a richer experience for clients, efficiency and cost savings with a careful regard for the proper exercise of professional obligations built in to each process.
Riqi will ask relevant questions, seek information and provide an opportunity for employees to upload relevant documents. For a modest fee, Riqi will advise the employee whether they have a likely case, warn the employee about how long they have to file a claim and arrange for someone to contact them the next business day.
Behind the scenes, Riqi will capture the data and send the required information to a solicitor so that the employee’s file can be opened efficiently, and the matter progressed. Riqi will automate a great deal of the information collection required and the solicitor will then have an opportunity to address any further requirements and ensure their professional obligations are met. Following the launch of Riqi, IRIQ Law and Blackbook AI have plans to further integrate client file creation with Practice software, streamlining file openings, cost disclosure obligations and file management. IRIQ Law and Blackbook will also be looking to work with other law firms who are interested in utilizing Riqi’s unique abilities.

Theresa Moltoni OAM is the Managing Legal Practitioner Director at IRIQ Law.
Theresa holds a Bachelor of Laws from USQ and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law, she is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Certified Workplace Investigator and a Secure Local Jobs Approved Auditor for the ACT Government.
Theresa’s experience spans more than 25 years and covers a wide range of high level roles in a number of industry sectors. Theresa was awarded an OAM for services to Industrial Relations in the 2016 Queens Birthday Honours.
Theresa sits on a number of Boards including the PA Research Foundation, The Brisbane Club and the Australian Super Qld Advisory Board.
Theresa is the Founding Chair of the Dancing CEOTMs annual event which raises money for vital support services for victims of domestic violence.
Theresa also founded and has chaired the well-respected Workplace Relations Group at The Brisbane Club for some years. She co-founded its Legal Interest Group which she continues to Chair.
Theresa has also served as President (and Non-Executive Director) of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Queensland (CCIQ), as Chair of the Workplace Relations Policy Council for the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), as the Vice President of the Industrial Relations Society of Queensland (IRSQ) and in the Queensland Community as a Justice of the Peace (Qualified) since August 1992 including a significant period actively participating in the “Justices in the Community” Program.
Theresa has also represented Australian Business at the United Nations International Labour Conference in Geneva since 2018.
Established by Theresa Moltoni in 2008, IRIQ was initially focused on assisting clients to get their Agreements in place prior to the Fair Work Act coming into effect. IRIQ was overwhelmed with requests that kept the team in a frenzied flurry of activity for some months.
In her previous Corporate HR & IR experience, Theresa found it difficult to find practitioners to assist her, who were able to link the objectives & principles of good business strategy to effective execution in the Workplace. So she modelled IRIQ on being able to do just that for businesses, whether they be large Corporates or SMEs.
Over time, IRIQ spoke at industry events around Australia about the new legislation and practical strategies that would assist businesses to grow. Each new speaking engagement brought new clients who have maintained a mutual loyalty with IRIQ over the years since.
In 2011, jIRIQ grew further as the IRIQ team embarked on the writing of “Industrial Relations 101TM“. A training program designed to close the skills gap for IR Practitioners & Operational Managers. After 11 months, the first program was released in November that year. It was a great success & in 2014 IRIQ set about offering this program online so that practitioners from all over Australia and indeed the world, can enjoy the program. The online program partners with a practical intensive day which ensures an opportunity to put those important skills into practice through a series of real life role plays.
Since moving into the Brisbane CBD in 2011, IRIQ has increased its number of Practitioners and opened its Perth Office in early 2015. IRIQ boasts an impressive, experienced, street savvy, team of practitioners that can handle just about anything.
In 2014 IRIQ launched its Balloting services, leading the way in SMS and online technologies to provide transparent and professional balloting services from the IRIQ team that understands the requirements of the Fair Work Act and Agreement making.
In 2017 IRIQ became an Incorporated Legal Practice expanding its service offering to provide both legal and non-legal services, it introduced the new trading name IRIQ Law.
