SYDNEY-based nutritionist, holistic health practitioner and popular wellness influencer, Candy Marx, announced today that her début book, Plantfed Mama’s Holistic Guide to a Vegan Pregnancy, will be released on 12th September, 2019.
Plantfed Mama is a 300-paged literary cookbook that focuses heavily on vegan nutrition, holistic health, and includes 75+ gluten-free plant-based wholefood recipes, and an infant feeding guide.
“I had an incredibly healthy vegan pregnancy, and I’m raising two healthy vegan children. During my pregnancy it occurred to me that other mamas don’t have access to the type of information that I do, and it’s upsetting to see vegan parents in the news with malnourished babies,” said Marx. “I also had many mothers-to-be approach me about pregnancy and infant nutrition because that type of information was lacking – this is why I wrote the book. I’ve been offering free consultations and advice just to help parents better nourish themselves and their babies.”
GAMECHANGERS executive producer, actor, and vegan wife and mother, Suzy Amis Cameron, opens the book with her gracious and cheerful foreword. Australian TV host, author, and speaker, Paul de Gelder, closes the book with his powerful afterword.
“Plantfed Mama is an incredible example of the amazing power of mothers helping mothers. And now with Candy’s help, we can support ourselves and the ripe, gorgeous Plantfed Mamas in our lives. I can’t wait to give this book out to every new mom I know, now, and in the years to come.”
