Clinpath Pathology is the first in the world to introduce an Alinity triple module chemistry platform with a GLP track, designed to streamline laboratory workflow and innovate the way in which a pathology laboratory operates.
The introduction of these state of the art chemistry lines are designed to enhance productivity, efficiency and above all quality, ensuring we can continue to provide the highest standard of health care to all South Australians.
The Alinity simplifies diagnostic testing while delivering results that drive better patient outcomes. When samples enter the GLP track system they are transported via cars to pre-analytical devices which include another Australian pathology laboratory first, the bulk loader, a centrifuge, de-capper, and aliquoter onto the state of the art analysers;
- Chemistry immunochemistry and immunoserology testing is performed by the Alinity CIC
- Vitamin D and Serology testing is completed by the XL Liaison
- Haematology specimens are transported to ROCHE XN Sysmex & SP10 instrumentation
Once the analytical process is complete, the samples are then recapped and transported on their final journey to be stored in refrigerated archiving.
Pathology is an essential medical service underpinning a high-quality health system, with 70 per cent of medical decisions and 100 per cent of cancer diagnoses relying on pathology tests.
His Excellency the Honourable Hieu Van Le AC, Governor said at the official opening, “Pathology plays an integral role in ensuring better diagnosis of medical conditions, and the best possible patient outcomes. In my own experience and in the experience of my friends and family, such information has been crucial for treatment and positive outcomes. We truly appreciate your work. You are unsung heroes; please do not underestimate the impact you are making to the wellbeing of the South Australian people.”
Sonic Healthcare’s Managing Director, Dr Colin Goldschmidt said, “We feel a little different and special on the world healthcare stage because we operate under the guidelines of a somewhat unique model we call “Medical Leadership”. At its heart, this model has pathologists and laboratory professionals intimately involved in all business operations and decisions. It is a model designed to deliver optimal patient care, one which equips clinicians to perform to the highest possible standards of medical care, whilst placing the patient at centre stage of the equation."
Clinpath Pathology is a highly respected, well established private pathology practice, providing laboratory services to general practitioners, specialists, private hospitals, and aged care facilities in Adelaide, South Australia.
