Perth recently hosted the first Women Economic Forum (WEF) in Australia. WEF is an international conference platform enabling women and leaders from all walks of life worldwide to expand business opportunities and enhance personal influence through networking across borders while being inspired by some of the world’s most successful entrepreneurs, authors, thought leaders and celebrities.
Carol Hanlon, CEO of Belmont Business Enterprise Centre Inc. (BEC Global), TCF WA Inc. (TCF Australia | TCF Global), BPW Business Incubator Training & Mentoring Projects convened the event.

The event included 100 speakers sharing their skills, talents and fellowship during July 5-7. Many travelled long distances from Turkey, USA, Uganda, Portugal, India, Ghana, Cambodia, Mongolia, Pakistan, Singapore, Mozambique, across Australia and many more online from Tanzania, UK, Iran, Kenya etc.

The Welshpool Rotary Club is part of Rotary International a worldwide Not for profit organization which was formed in Chicago USA in 1905. The club was chartered in 1971 and belongs to District 9455. Although a relatively small club with an active membership of 19 we raise funds via sausage sizzles, quiz nights and other activities. These funds are distributed to needy people both locally and overseas. The club is looking to connect with an overseas Not for Profit (NFP) organisations and special worthwhile projects.
