Monday, March 11th, 2019 - Rolling Stones Experience

The Rolling Stones Experience are coming to Byron Bay in April and fans from 18 to 80 will have to man up.

Not just another tribute band thrown together, this is a band that’s been crafting their art of The Rolling Stones for over ten years and are as close as you can get to the real thing. Fronting the band is John van Zyl – a man that has been making people stop in their tracks for the past ten years, often being mistaken for the British rock legend himself.

After a show, John Bradbury said "Would just like to let you all know that there were a couple of Mick Jaggers cousins in the audience at North Haven Bowls the other night and our group had a blast. You all played a gig Mick would be proud of. John really nails Mick to a tee and "Keith" was also a cracker!!"

John van Zyl is a seasoned entertainer and was born to be Mick Jagger. His uncanny look and eerily similar vocal style makes him an instantly recognizable Jagger performer. John enthuses with the same confidence in his musical and vocal ability and his performance as Jagger is flawless… right down to the moves.

People have been telling me for a long time I looked like Mick Jagger,” van Zyl said. “I love the energy of ‘being Jagger’. I love portraying such a great showman, he’s an outstanding front man and I connect with the prowling, strutting, flaunting and giving the audience everything I’ve got.”

John’s love affair with the Rolling Stones began at an early age. “I was hooked when I got their first album when I was a skinny 17-year-old kid,” says John.

This Rock 'n' Roll band  really rocks out and recreates that Stones’ sound and the songs you know and love with absolute authenticity, professionalism and they have over 150 years of combined experience between them. They like it, live it and they do it well. It’s what they’ve been doing all their adult lives. You’ll be jerked up out of your seat and dancing for hours!

They have performed to audiences with up to 8,000 people at the Pan Pacific Games, corporate conferences, festivals, clubs and hotels in Queensland, New South Wales and Tasmania.

Now they are making their way to Byron Bay to perform on the big stage of the Byron Theatre.

A two hour full production extravaganza that will take you on a nostalgic journey through the musical history of the Rolling Stones, belting out  a massive set of memorable and blistering hits including “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction”, “Jumpin’ Jack Flash”, “Get Off My Cloud”, “Paint It Black”, “Honky Tonk Women” and “Brown Sugar”… to name a few!

The band has been touted as one of the best Stones Tribute Bands around.

Don't miss them on Saturday, 27th April at the Byron Theatre, Jonson Street, Byron Bay.   Tickets are only $28.80 and can be purchased online here  or  when Box Office Sales open 7 pm on show night, at Byron Theatre.
