On October 27, 2018, under the guidance of Buddhist Master Jun Hong Lu, the third Guan Yin Citta Buddhist Practice Center in Japan opened with an exceptional blessing ceremony in the harbor city of Nagoya. The auspicious opening day coincides with the Renunciation Day of Guan Yin Bodhisattva, which takes place on the 19th day of the 9th lunar month to commemorate the Greatly Compassionate and Greatly Merciful Guan Yin Bodhisattva.
Since the first Buddhist Practice Center of Guan Yin Citta established in Tokyo, the Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door has spread and flourished widely in this country. In October 2016, the world-renowned Buddhist Master Jun Hong Lu gave a large-scale Public Talk in Tokyo, causing a sensation and planting more Dharma seeds. The second Buddhist Practice Center opened in Osaka in 2017 and spread the Buddhist teachings of Master Jun Hong Lu to the second largest metropolitan area in Japan. The opening of the Nagoya Buddhist practice center marks Guan Yin Citta’s third branch in Japan and demonstrates its rapid development, taking the spread of the Dharma Door to a whole new level.
The blessing ceremony began at 10am with many attendees from Tokyo, Osaka, and Shizuoka. The sun’s rays passed through windows and shone on everyone, warming the room and creating a holy atmosphere of solemnity and peace. Everyone was filled with joy and peace in the blessing ceremony.
Buddhist Master Jun Hong Lu, the founder of Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door, once said, “The Buddhist Practice Center of Guan Yin Citta is a Pure Land rooted in everyone’s heart. If you feel unhappy, miserable, or have difficulties in life, you can come here to recite Buddhist scriptures and calm your mind. You can sincerely pray for the blessings and protections from the Bodhisattva. Where the Bodhisattva resides is where wisdom exists.”
Today, the Buddhist friends and practitioners in Nagoya finally have such a spiritual home. Those who are blessed by the Buddha are the happiest, just like a child who has the love of a mother. The brothers and sisters of Guan Yin Citta in Nagoya will work together and work harder to spread Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door. Such is the best way to repay the Buddha’s kindness.
