Life Whisperer and Presagen co-founder Dr Jonathan Hall has been awarded the prestigious MIT Technology Review Innovator under 35 Asia Pacific title for his work in the application of AI for medical imaging, and in particular embryo assessment to improve success rates for infertile couples undergoing IVF.

Dr Hall was named one of the 10 honourees of the regional MIT Technology Review Innovators Under 35 competition for Australia, Hong Kong SAR, New Zealand, Southeast Asia and Taiwan. The award was announced in Singapore at an event hosted by SGInnovate and EmTech Asia. The official presentation and awards ceremony will be held on 23-23 January at the EmTech Asia conference.

As an honouree, Dr Hall automatically qualifies for the 2019 Global MIT Technology Review Innovators Under 35 List, a group of the world’s top young innovators. The final list will be selected by the MIT Technology Review’s editorial team and celebrated at the MIT Media Lab in 2019.

Dr Hall said “It is a great honor to have been selected for such a prestigious award. This also highlights the great innovative and world-leading work that is being conducted in Australia, both in the AI and healthcare, that has the potential to change the world and positively impact people’s lives.”
