An expert in business development and strategy is the new Director of the University of Adelaide Business School’s Executive Education unit.

Mr Jeremy Glaros, who has returned from Sydney to Adelaide to take up his new position, will use his knowledge and experience in leadership, strategy and business transformation to deliver high-quality training programs for tomorrow’s top-flight executives.

Until recently, Mr Glaros was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company’s Sydney office, where he was responsible for solving complex business issues across industries including retail banking, insurance, business-to-business services, agriculture and telecommunications. He was also a Division Director in Macquarie Bank responsible for developing bespoke products and managing product sales across Asia.

“Jeremy’s experience developing transformation and business improvement strategies across a diverse suite of industries will give him a unique perspective when developing tailored programs for professionals keen to broaden their skillsets and advance their careers,” says Mr Paul Hutchinson, Executive Director, Faculty of Professions, University of Adelaide.

After graduating from the University of Adelaide in 2001 with a Bachelor of Engineering, Mr Glaros enrolled into a Graduate Diploma in Business Enterprise at Adelaide. He has worked for nearly 20 years with key players in the financial sector in Asia and beyond, obtaining a Masters of Finance in 2012 from INSEAD.

“My business-related study added enormous value to my engineering qualifications,” Mr Glaros says. “I’m thrilled to be using this experience in a role that will see me develop offerings to support aspiring business leaders with professional development programs. Individual development ultimately translates to growth within organisations.”

Mr Hutchinson says: “The Adelaide Business School offers a unique range of educational opportunities to prepare individuals for, or build upon, a rewarding career in business.

“As Director of Executive Education, Mr Glaros’ knowledge will have a direct impact on the learning experience of executives across the most competitive industries in the world.

“By joining the School, Mr Glaros will give executives who take our courses an invaluable ‘edge’ in the market place.”

Mr Glaros commenced as Director of Executive Education this week.
