Before Undergoing a Complete Room Renovation, the Southern California Hotel Publicizes Its Memorable 1990 Opening With Guests and Locals
MARINA DEL REY, CA -- (Marketwired) -- Sep 23, 2015 -- Since its grand opening on October 15th, 1990, The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey has been the ideal escape for many. Over the years, guests have sought out the Los Angeles hotel for layovers, waterside weddings and social gatherings, and most recently, Playa Vista companies have even utilized it as a tech-savvy hotspot.
Located on the calm yacht-filled marina, and less than five miles from Los Angeles International Airport, the luxury hotel has undergone a series of facelifts since its debut. One milestone includes the hotel's successful restaurant concept, Cast & Plow, which launched in early 2014.
To kick off this year's silver jubilee, the hotel will launch a premiere luxury package priced at $2,500 (available from October 8th-15th), which includes: two nights in an Executive Suite, a handpicked prix fixe dinner featuring favorites from hotel's opening ceremony such as Beef Wellington and Baked Alaska, as well as a time capsule box filled with hand-selected memorabilia from the decade.
On October 15th, guests and locals are encouraged to take selfies amidst a customized backdrop that will be set at the front drive, and post their photos using the brand's hashtag: #RCMemories. Inside, guests will be welcomed with champagne as well as cake pops to celebrate. Music from the era will play in the lobby, while a decade-specific questionnaire will be handed out at check-in for a chance to receive 25 percent savings on logoed items in the hotel's gift shop.
Throughout the entire month, Spa del Rey will also be offering a special $25 savings on treatments that are 60 minutes or longer, as well as a 25-minute mini facelift treatment.
This iconic celebration is not only for guests and locals, but also for the ladies and gentlemen of the AAA Five Diamond hotel. Since the grand opening, 13 individuals are still working for The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey.
