Crowd Mobile (ASX: CM8 & FWB:XETRA: CM3) is pleased to announce the launch of its SMS concierge service targeted at a market of 1.3 billion global users.  The move signals the next phase in Crowd Mobile’s strategy to leverage its global footprint and m-payments platform to increase its revenue streams.

Crowd Butler stage one launch in Hungary was successfully completed in July and the service will be launched in the UK market in late August. Australia and the rest of Europe is expected to come online by the end of the year.

This unique concierge service is free to the end user and enables them to make requests via SMS on their handheld mobile device.  Crowd Butler has trained operators (Butlers) standing by 24/7 to answer requests and a team of specialists to carry out each request accordingly.

Crowd Butler has a wide range of uses; examples of requests may include flight and hotel bookings, delivery of flowers, or even a dental appointment. Consumers are increasingly time-poor in today’s world, and this service not only helps them save time, but ensures they can take advantage of some great deals which Crowd Butler is able to secure on behalf of its consumers.

Commenting on the launch, Chief Executive Officer Domenic Carosa said: “Crowd Butler represents a really exciting opportunity for Crowd Mobile as we extend our offering to include a dedicated concierge service available at the consumer’s finger tips.  Crowd Mobile is uniquely positioned to deliver this service given our existing infrastructure and global customer network.”

Crowd Mobile’s network of affiliates will pay Crowd Butler commissions for m-commerce orders and advertising revenues from groups wishing to target our audience. The launch of Crowd Butler is consistent with Crowd Mobile’s strategy of adding new revenue streams through leveraging its existing network and capabilities.

Crowd Butler will utilise Crowd Mobile’s existing micro-job platform, which already has a globally distributed workforce in place and which is scalable, to transact any new offerings introduced by Crowd Mobile.  The Crowd Butler service has a significant addressable ready market and will be rolled out to over 30 countries and in 11 languages, to almost 1.3 billion users.
