The Australian Institute of Conveyancers SA Division Inc. (AICSA) announced today that it has appointed Rebecca Hayes as Chief Executive Officer.
AICSA Members are involved in over 90% of transactions lodged at the Land Titles Office.
The transfer of land process will change fundamentally in SA in 2016 when electronic conveyancing is introduced.
AICSA President Tim O’Halloran said the Council was very pleased to welcome Ms Hayes and looked forward to working with her in this changing environment.
Ms Hayes is presently the Principal Policy Officer – Consumer & Business Services. She previously worked for the NT Government.
“Ms Hayes is a highly qualified professional and property law expert and has had valuable experience in the Conveyancing Profession from a practising and regulatory standpoint,” Mr O’Halloran said.
Ms Hayes said she was honoured and thrilled to be appointed as the CEO at this challenging time.
“My professional career began as a Conveyancer. I am excited to be back in a capacity where I can truly advocate for the profession and make a difference. With such exciting times ahead I can’t wait to get started,” she said.
She looked forward to working closely with the Council, in particular, the President, Tim O’Halloran and Vice-President Kathy Stolinski, the staff of the AICSA office and the Members.
Mr O’Halloran also acknowledged the outstanding work done by outgoing CEO Geoffrey Adam.
“We are pleased outgoing CEO Geoffrey Adam is remaining with AICSA in a new role as E-Conveyancing and Legislative Officer to prepare Conveyancers for electronic conveyancing,” Mr O’Halloran said.
Ms Hayes will begin her new role on the 25th May 2015.
