Investors, mining company executives, suppliers, and mining industry experts are set to take over the iconic mining city of Broken Hill this May at The Resources Investment Symposium 24th – 27th of May.

Managing Director of Symposium, Kerry Stevenson believes that despite a softening in the mining boom, investors still have lots to be optimistic about.  With the Iron Ore price rallying over the last two weeks, it seems investors in Resources may still have reason to be optimistic.

“This year’s Resources Investment Symposium in Broken Hill is focussed on looking in new directions. We all know the world has changed significantly over the past 18 months, however, there are still resource companies bucking the trend, making new discoveries and improving productivity with new technology”.

“Savvy investors in Resources are always looking for the next opportunity and I believe we have some innovative and progressive companies they can connect with in Broken Hill”

“Broken Hill is a perfect environment to have investors, investment professionals and mining experts gather to learn, network and discuss where the sector is heading. Suits and ties are banned and real connections are made because when you are in Broken Hill for the duration its like a club and people really connect”.

Held over 3 days The Resources Investment Symposium is unlike any other Resources industry event.  Being held in a remote location outside of a major city, means more opportunities for networking, as well as learning.  The team at Symposium have arranged a Golf Day, Gala Dinner as well as networking drinks and a welcome BBQ.

“Ultimately people do business with people”.  “With this event now in it’s 5th year, we know lots of successful outcomes come from the casual conversations as much as the keynote and company presentations”. Miss Stevenson said

The event is being supported by a number of companies including Sirius Resources, Silver City Minerals, NSW Minerals Council, Pinnacle Drilling and the geological survey of NSW and SA  as well as the AUSIMM

For the first time, mining industry professionals and investment professionals will also benefit from learning about new discoveries from leading Geo Scientists at the Technical Day being held on Wednesday the 27th of May, “Uncovering Curnamona”.
