Woolworths Carols by Candlelight this Sunday December 14 is bringing to town gold class entertainers and performers to help South Australians celebrate 70 years of Carols by Candlelight.
Many up and coming artists and big named stars such as Jon Stevens, Human Nature, Marina Prior and Samantha Jade have graced the stage at Elder Park, and this year is no different.
Singing superstar Kate Ceberano is returning to Adelaide to headline the iconic event. “I love coming back to Adelaide and performing at Carols by Candlelight will be the first time back since my reign as Artistic Director of the Adelaide Cabaret Festival,” Kate said.
Since the first Carols in 1944, Carols by Candlelight has raised over one million dollars for Adelaide charities and this year money raised will go to three of Adelaide’s favourite children’s charities – Novita Children’s Services, Cora Barclay Centre and Women’s & Children’s Hospital Foundation.
“Come and join me and celebrate Christmas together and in the true spirit of Christmas, support and give to those who are less fortunate than ourselves”, Kate said.
South Australians can help through the Spirit of Giving campaign this year in the lead up to the event on Sunday as well as through their folded note donation on the day.
Joining Kate Ceberano this year is James Morrison and Sons, Orianthi and Adelaide pop rock band At Sunset as well as:
Rachael Leahcar | Nathan Stafford | Macintyre Howie Reeves | Young Adelaide Voices
To celebrate the 70th year, this year Carol-goers can purchase gold class reserved seating, proceeds of which go to the three charities, and watch the Carols in style from prime position!
