United Nations Association of Australia Media Awards 2017 - Finalists Announced

Each year since 1979 the UNAA has acknowledged United Nations Day (24 October) by recognising Australian journalists and media organisations who have excelled in their promotion of human rights and social justice issues. In 2017 the Media Awards will be a key feature of the UNAA's work to promote achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Winners will be announced at the UN Day Media Awards Presentation Dinner to be held on Friday October 27, 2017 at the Pavilion, Arts Centre Melbourne. The presentation will be hosted by Mary Gearin, ABC, with a key note presentation from Emeritus Professor Gillian Triggs. This is a great opportunity to network amongst journalists, producers, photographers and filmakers.

The United Nations Association of Australia is one of 100 associations around the world which promote the ideals and work of the UN in local communities.
