Beanhunter, the world’s leading app for cafe and coffee discovery, announced today that it had acquired the leading coffee industry job board
“Cafes and coffee roasters have traditionally found it hard to find quality staff and allows these business owners to find the best cafe staff quickly,” said Beanhunter CEO, James Crawford.
“We see this as a ‘marriage made in Heaven’," Crawford said. "Beanhunter’s 12,000 cafes will now have direct access to to help find their most valuable asset – their staff, and in particular the best baristas. With over 1.2 million page views per month and annualised growth of 100%, the combined business is poised for even faster acceleration.”
Beanhunter has an experienced team backed by existing advisors and investors, including Guy King, founder of RetailMeNot (NASDAQ:SALE) and LIFX, and Campbell Sallabank of XSallarate. The acquisition forms one of the building blocks leading into an upcoming funding round, which has been keenly anticipated by local VCs, angel investors and high net-worth families.
