The first of its kind in South Australia, Boss Camp is a startup event designed just for young people aged 16-18.
Boss Camp aims to connect young people with passionate entrepreneurs to learn how to turn their ideas into a business.
“Alternative career paths, such as entrepreneurship, are just not catered for in the current school system. I’ve seen lots of students fall through the gaps because traditional study isn’t for them – this event gives them an alternative”, says founder Sasha Dragovelic.
Boss Camp recognises that traditional pathways to employment don’t always suit everyone. The event aims to inspire, challenge and foster the entrepreneurial spirit amongst these young South Australians to ensure their future is secure. By giving young people a chance to be job makers, not just job takers, the team behind Boss Camp also hopes it will play an ongoing role in contributing to economic growth in South Australia as part of our startup ecosystem.
Boss Camp will be run in Adelaide during the school holidays on the 8 and 9th of October 2014. The event will bring young people, teachers and passionate entrepreneurs together for two days of intensive mentoring and hands-on experience. The event is supported by the passionate, Adelaide startup and business community. Tickets are now available through the program’s website http://workforceplanningtools.com.au/products-page/career-blueprint/boss-camp-get-inspired-have-fun/
