There has been much talk recently about the importance of South Australians investing in South Australia. Brian Chant, Managing Director of Property Asset Planning, a South Australian owned and operated business, has been helping his clients do just that for over 20 years. Mr Chant has called on all South Australians to get behind the call by BankSA chief Nick Reade to back SA as many of his clients have done recently.

Mr Chant said, “I completely agree with what Nick Reade said in The Advertiser that South Australians should back SA “instead of falling victim to the merchants of gloom, as consumer sentiment in SA plunges to its lowest level since BankSA began surveying the public 17 years ago.

“I believe investing in brand new SA Housing is one great way to get things moving here and I have come up with seven good reasons based on what our clients are telling us.”

1. Stimulating the South Australian Economy

Property Asset Planning client Tim Hanna is a proud South Australian who has lived and worked around many parts of Australia and said it is nice to be able to make a contribution in a small way with his investment…rather than buying an existing house.

Clearly the building industry is a major employer in SA and in fact supports hundreds of small businesses that sub-contract their services to the major builders. As such, hundreds of SA families benefit when the housing construction industry is booming.

Harley Dale, Chief Economist, Housing Industry Association said, “There is a dire lack of rental stock adversely affecting both availability and affordability in SA”.
