Goondiwindi, Australia - March 29, 2010: Goondiwindi Cotton has revealed its latest collection, Winter 2010, which draws its inspiration from the clear night skies of country Australia with a hint of Hampton city-country-coast feel.

Following the tradition of clothing design that suits the relaxed Australian lifestyle, the Winter 2010 range has been designed to be warm and functional, whilst luxurious Swarovski Crystals and quilted fabric evoke a feminine feel.

Chief Designer Louise Anderson said that her inspiration for the Swarovski Crystals was from the clear, star-studded nights in and around Goondiwindi.

“The Australian sky at night is simply one of the most beautiful sights. I wanted to bring a little sparkle to the new range, yet keep the classic lines for which Goondiwindi Cotton is renowned."

Providing protection from the elements, crisp quilted jackets and vests are cosy, whilst angora jumpers and scarves provide an extra layer of warmth. Olive coloured rugby tops with yarn-dyed cotton give a modern twist on traditional country wear, whilst baby pink skivvies and polos continue the idea of Hampton Chic.

Practical details feature throughout: shirts have reinforced stitching, zips are sturdy and only top-quality fabric is used.

“Goondiwindi Cotton Winter 2010 is all about capturing the warmth and beauty of the Australian country, and incorporating it into our daily lives,” Ms Anderson said.
