Event celebrates 80 years of author David Malouf
A free public event featuring award-winning Australian author David Malouf in conversation with Professor Nicholas Jose will be held at the University of Adelaide this Thursday night (10 April) to celebrate Malouf's 80th birthday.
Malouf, who turned 80 last month, has had a long association with the University of Adelaide's highly regarded Creative Writing programs, and an even longer association with the Elder Conservatorium of Music.
Malouf will speak with friend and colleague Nicholas Jose, Professor of English and Creative Writing at the University, about his life and work – with a focus on two of his latest publications: Earth Hour and A First Place.
Hosted by the Friends of the University of Adelaide Library and the University's JM Coetzee Centre for Creative Practice, this event is a must-see for book lovers.
