Former undercover FBI agent Joseph D. Pistone, aka ‘Donnie Brasco’, keynote speaker and available to meet journalists, but photos or videos of him are not allowed
Sydney, Australia, April 26, 2017 – This year’s Polonious World conference in Sydney will feature a keynote address by Joseph D. Pistone, aka ‘Donnie Brasco’, a pioneer of deep undercover investigation work. Hear his story about how he helped to take down notorious crime families in New York and Miami during the 1970s and early 80s.
Pistone’s work helped convince the FBI that using undercover agents, not just informants, was crucial for law enforcement and later became the plot for the 1997 feature film Donny Brasco starring Al Pacino and Johnny Depp.
Journalists and editors are invited to report on Pistone’s keynote address; however, he requests no photos or videos be taken of him at the event.
Polonious co-founder Stuart Guthrie said he is delighted to have someone like Joe Pistone speak at this year’s Polonious World.
“Joe brings a wealth of investigation management experience to the event and delegates can learn how law enforcement tactics can be applied to all types of cases,” Guthrie said.
