Network Ten’s industry-leading digital platform tenplay has scored three nominations in the 20th Annual AIMIA Awards*.

Network Ten is the only commercial free-to-air television and digital media company to be listed as a finalist in this year’s awards, which showcase the outstanding creativity and cutting-edge work undertaken by members of the Australian digital content, services and applications industry.

The Annual AIMIA Awards are the longest-running and most prestigious awards in the Australian digital industry. Entries are judged by a panel of more than 160 Australian and international industry experts.

The winners of this year’s awards will be announced on April 3, 2014.

The tenplay website and app have been nominated in three categories: Best of Websites and Online Services (Entertainment); Best of Smartphone (Entertainment); and Best of Tablet (Entertainment).

Network Ten Chief Digital Officer, Rebekah Horne, said: “Since it launched on September 30 last year, tenplay has been been an immediate hit with consumers, who have recognised it as one of the best entertainment digital platforms in Australia.

“The number of tenplay apps that have been downloaded, and the growth we have seen in page views and video views, have far exceeded our expectations.

“We are delighted that tenplay has been shortlisted for three AIMIA Awards. The nominations are a testament to the hard work, passion and dedication of the Network Ten digital team and our partner, Isobar Australia,” she said.
