Norfolk Island Country Music Association continues to celebrate on the back of their 20th anniversary. 2014 marks the twentieth year of their unique Trans-Tasman Entertainer of the Year award and what’s more an awesome Kiwi headliner has just been announced.
Accomplished artist, singer songwriter and also known as New Zealand’s first lady of Country Music Patsy Riggir will headline at the upcoming festival. It’s Darren Coggan famous for his Jimmy Buffett and Cat Stevens shows who will headline from Australia.
Both Patsy and Darren will be joined by an array of New Zealand and Australian country music talent making Norfolk Island’s 21st festival the most memorable yet.
Norfolk Island is a petite and friendly island which proves itself each year by delivering a unique festival with a popular South Pacific island vibe. Fans are up close and personal with Country Music headliners and contestants during the festival and the whole week through.
But it’s not all about the headliners fans are thrilled with the calibre of Trans-Taman Entertainer of the Year competitors. Upcoming Australian and New Zealand talent compete head to head for what has become a prestigious stand-out title and the competition sure stirs the crowd and those patriotic Kiwi and Aussie visitors.
First time visitors are often impressed by Norfolk Island. “Our first time on Norfolk Island and the Norfolk Island Country Music Festival. We loved everything. The Festival was so well organised. The Island hospitality exceptional. The deep sea fishing unbelievable. We will be back next year. Can't wait! B.F. from Ettalong Beach.
With 2014 being the 20th anniversary of the Trans-Tasman Entertainer of the Year Award, organisers are promising special appearances from previous Trans-Tasman winners and with headliner Patsy Riggir organisers are predicting a sell-out year!
