Glenelg’s Popular Vintage Retro Store Celebrates Grand Opening under New Ownership on August 9th in Store.
Glenelg, South Australia – House of Serendipity will host a grand opening Friday night, August 9, 2013 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. with fun, refreshments, festivities, and store discounts to celebrate the store’s opening under new ownership. Rachel Barnes recently purchased the vintage clothing shop, formerly known as Nadia’s House of Serendipity.
To kick off the celebration, House of Serendipity will celebrate with drinks and nibbles, a 50% store wide discount, a complimentary $15 shopping voucher for future purchases, an unveiling of new stock, as well as a toast to the store’s founder, Nadia Couzner, and introduction of Barnes, the new owner.
The old adage, what goes around comes around, is true when it comes to retro clothing. Movies such as The Great Gatsby, as well as hit TV series including Mad Men and Downton Abbey, have helped bring about vintage fashion’s boom in popularity. Celebrities such as Nicole Kidman and even Kate Middleton have been seen sporting the retro trend recently.
“I’m so excited to be part of this recent upsurge of retro clothing,” Barnes says. “People are rediscovering the joys of searching through recycled clothing stores to find something unique with an individual sense of style, made with quality fabrics and workmanship that stands the test of time, and at low cost.”
Amazing and gorgeous items are available in recycling boutiques allowing customers to play with a variety of different styles from diverse eras to mix and match trends to create a signature look. House of Serendipity focuses on vintage and retro garments that come with their own piece of history and are waiting to be worn and appreciated once more. House of Serendipity customers rave about their love of the uncluttered store that makes shopping a pleasure and often express their appreciation for clothing that draws attention and compliments. Women especially love the fact that they can attend a function and know that no one else will be dressed the same.
