The Small Business. Too Big to Ignore campaign today welcomed the many thousands of small electrical and communications contractors in the electrotechnology industry.

The National Electrical and Communications Association (NECA) has joined the campaign to unite the many voices of small business around Australia and help change the attitudes and actions of politicians and governments by showing them that, together, small business is too big to ignore.

At the heart of the campaign is a genuine grass roots movement, driven by social media and an innovative online social media hub that dynamically brings together posts, images; visit

Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) Chief Executive Peter Anderson said: “NECA represents some 5,000 businesses that employ over 50,000 electricians and apprentices in the industry and we are very pleased they are joining the campaign to stand up for small business.

“Small business has drawn a line in the sand with this campaign and is sending a message loud and clear to Canberra that small business is too big to ignore."

NECA Chief Executive Officer James Tinslay said: “Most of our members are small electrical and communications contractors and they are fed-up at having their needs ignored by politicians and governments. We urge all our members to go online and support this important campaign.”
